more bath time...

Carson seems to be pretty picky about when he takes a bath. He has recently started not liking bath time. So Saturday I thought Brian and I could give him one together and well it seemed to work. He was smiling and cooing at daddy!!

Rolling Over

Well, I finally got Carson rolling over on video. I have been meaning to video him rolling over and I just never have the camera around when I need it. So here it is...

Life is all about Him.....

1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. 3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. 5 My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. 6 On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. 7 Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. 8 My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

Psalm 63:1-8

My life should truly be all about the Lord. I haven't been living this way and am on the path to regain the rest in Christ. Life is much more peaceful when we truly trust in Christ and give him everything. This scripture gives hope and peace and truly paints a picture of thirsting for Chirst. I have a stong desire to be at this point in my life, to thirst for Him. We do live in a dry world where there is no water except that of Christ.

A Little Piece of Home...

Brian is from Arkansas and loves to go on our back porch and look at the creek and all of the trees. He says it reminds him of home. So on Sunday it was such a pretty day and he took Carson out to look at the ducks in the creek. I snuck out behind them and snapped a few shots...

Friends

Ok well I just got this picture off of my camera because I never use the camera I keep in my diaper bag. So I had the wonderful opportunity to meet an old friend, her daughter and her mother for lunch a few weeks ago. We met in middle school and haven't kept in touch lately and some how found out that we were both pregnant at the same time, but not until she had her baby. Ainsley is 6 weeks older than Carson. It was so neat to catch up with them and also to get to see Melissa's mom. It was definatly a reunion and felt like old times. Now that we know we live closer than we thought we will be getting together more often. I did not get any pics of the babies together because I thought I didn't bring my camera and then I found it at the last minute....so here is Melissa and Ainsley.

Lori came to visit!!!

It has been way too long since I have seen Lori....Carson hasn't seen her since the day after he was born and Faith and Stacy have never gotten to see him. So they were coming in town for a birthday party for one of their friends and we managed to squeeze in lunch and of course a trip to Babies R Us and of course the boys had to get in some video game time. Lori had to go there becuase in the big town of Abilene there is not one. It was so good to see them and finally have Faith meet Carson. She wasn't so sure of her mom holding Carson. They are coming back in a few weeks to stay with us and spend more time. It hasn't been the same here in Ft. Worth with out them!!

I can use my hands!!!

A couple of days ago I put Carson on his play mat and left the room to ge a drink and came back to him holding onto his elephant with both hands!! I was so much fun to see him start to play and find out he can use his hands.

Soccer Season...

During soccer season we don't get to see daddy that much. So last Tuesday Brian had a game and did not get home until 10:15. So he wanted to see Carson when he got home and of course he was asleep. He kept touching him and giving him kisses. I told him things wouldn't be very good if he woke him up. So he stopped and then went on to tell me that I wouldn't like it if I didn't get to see him all day on Tuesdays and Fridays and I agreed. So on Wed I decided I would pump a bottle so that when he got home from practice he could have some special time with Carson and feed him a bottle. It was a great surprise for him and he really enjoyed it. So here are the pics....
