I love to take pictures of Carson's face. He is getting to have such a personality and I love to catch that on camera. So here are some of my favorites from a couple weeks ago. I am trying to catch up on my posts and get all of my pics on my blog...

Big Bed...
My sisters little boy Logan always calls Janel's bed the big bed. The other night Brian and I were changing the sheets on our bed and we needed to put Carson down so Brian put him in the big bed in different places on the bed as we moved the sheets. At the end Brian decided to put him at the top and it looked so cute so I took some pics.....

Being a Mom
Brian's grandmother just sent this to me today and it is so true.....................
Prettiest Mom
Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. Before I was a Mom - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy. Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

He is getting so BIG!!!!
Carson is growing up too fast. I was getting pj's out last night to put on him and I decided to grab a 3-6 month pair as well as 0-3. I thought I would try those first, but I just knew that wouldn't fit.....well I was wrong. He is growing up way too fast. I know everyone always tells you that, but I guess you have to see it to believe it!! I love each stage, but don't want the baby stage to end. I was telling my mom that this morning and she said well you can have another one......we will have to wait a little on that. I am going to take some pics soon since he turns three months on Tues. We will do another photo shoot and then post.

Peace.....

Tonight Brian and Carson were rocking in the rocking chair and it looked so peaceful. Brian was talking about how neat it is to be a dad. He is such a blessing in our lives. After church today we went out to lunch and then came home and sat on the couch with the baby and just talked for about 2 hours. It was so great. Having a baby truly changes your life in so many ways. We try to take advantage of every minute we have together. The Lord is so good....I can't imagine life with out Carson. He is so precious. The sermon this morning was about accountability and asking for forgiveness. It made me think about how I need to be spending more time with the Lord. He is just sitting there waiting for us to come to him and sit with him. I need to make it a priority in my life. Sorry for all of the randomness in this one....but here are a few pics of Brian and Carson.

Carson's first cold
When we were getting ready to leave to go to Florida, I noticed Carson was a little stuffy. Then we flew to Florida and he seemed to be doing better until about 4 days into our trip. We started sleeping with a humidifier in the room and it helped a little but he still sounded miserable. So we got back and decided to take him to the doc and things were o.k. and he just has a cold. I hate this time of year. The doc said she was seeing a lot of kids with the flu and RSV. Logan had RSV when he was 4 months and I just knew Carson was going to have it. We are very thankful that he is better now and did not get RSV. When we went to the doc they weighed him and he now weighs 11 lbs 9 oz. He is beginning to look a little chubby!!!

Christmas 2007!!

Well, we went to Florida for Christmas. We were there for about 8 days. We had a good time visiting with my family. Carson got to meet Uncle Ryan and Aunt Adrian and his uncle David and cousin Logan. Logan was so excited to meet Carson. He had a cold the week before we got there so we didn't really let him touch Carson. We did let him touch Carson's feet. So he would come up to him and say I want to touch the feet. It was so cute to see Logan with him. I can't wait till they get older and have more interaction with each other. I know that Logan will enjoy that. My sister told Logan that Carson was hungry and he went to the freezer and got him an ice cream bar. It was cute. We got lots of cute Christmwas pictures of the two of them together. Logan liked taking pictures with Carson. I also took some of Logan on his new motorcycle. My dad dressed up as Santa and brought Logan a gift. He thought it was the real thing. It was great.
Christmas with a new baby was so neat. I didn't even care about the gifts that I was getting becsause having Carson for Christmas was enough. Being around family is such a blessing during the holidays. It is so hard to leave when we have to come back home, especially knowing that my parents will soon live in Florida full time. I will look forward to visiting them in the future. There house turned out to be wonderful.
shots!!
Carson went to his 2 month check up on December 19th. He had to get his first round of shots. He did really well. Of course he cried and I wanted to reach down and pick him up as soon as possible. I think it was worse for me than it was for him. It ended up working out that Brian was able to come to the doctor with us so that made it better for me. He weighed 10 lbs and 10 oz. So he is gaining weight and things are looking good. He did have a little bit of exema and we had to get some cream for that, but I think things will get better with that soon. Here is a pic of Carson and I after his shots.
